Code of Conduct
As a member of GDI you agree to the following:
1-You are expected to participate in academic discussions and debate with respect for other members. Insults, racism, excessive vulgarity, blatant disrespect or any invasive or abusive behaviour is not allowed.
2-If you have a grievance with another member you are expected to bring it to the attention of administration or settle the matter privately through the private chat feature or email. Dissenting opinions are inevitable and should be handled in this manner as to not distract other members or create division. The integrity of the network outweighs personal differences.
3-If you do not have permission from the author or copyright ownership of the news articles or material you post, please post no more than a few paragraphs summarizing the article including a link to the original source document.
4-User names that are offensive, that suggest illegal activity, or that are created to imitate or intimidate other users are not allowed. Moreover, threats, stalking, and harassment or anything construed as such may be grounds for account deletion.
5- No solicitations please. Advertisements for your business,organization, or your own online endeavors require administrative approval.
First offense: You will be reminded of what is expected of you as a member
Second offense: A warning
Third offense: You will be asked to leave. We reserve the right to ban any member.
All societies have rules that must be followed. It is not censorship if your account is deleted due to your misconduct. Freedom of speech does not mean you can yell fire in a theater. There are consequences for your words and actions.
